The committee approved a new class B/beer license for Midwest Pizza LLC doing business as Rocky Rococo at 618 West Belt Line Highway on Jan. 15. Agent James Bullock said the new owner purchased the location and intends to operate much as before.
Bullock said, “we are just doing business as usual. We purchased the rockies, and we don't plan on changing anything.” He told the committee he had posted an information session but no one attended and that he left a voicemail for the district alder.
Alder Knox and other committee members praised the restaurant and encouraged the owner to consider extending weekday hours to satisfy local demand; Alder Knox said he sometimes drives to the restaurant when he is hungry and supported later hours. Miss Carter seconded Alder Knox’s motion to approve and the committee approved the application with no objections raised.
Police review did not raise concerns about the location. The license will be issued after administrative steps are completed by the Clerk’s office.
