MSU Extension staff announce retirement and new 4‑H hire; county committee reviewed extension agreement

Piauk introduced Noah Cardew as the county’s new 4‑H program instructor. Cardew’s work, she said, focuses on expanding 4‑H outreach beyond the traditional model, developing after-school programming and short-term special-interest clubs, and volunteer training. Piauk said Cardew joined MSU Extension in mid-September after graduating from the University of Kentucky and has worked locally in Berrien County schools.
At a committee level, the county’s Public Health & Social Services (PHS) committee reported it had reviewed and approved the MSU Extension Services Agreement as part of the committee’s morning meeting. The board did not record additional contract details on the public transcript during the full meeting.
Piauk invited commissioners to participate in forthcoming transition planning and said she would notify county staff when an interim director is named and when the position posting goes live.
