The St. Louis County Board approved a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Forest Service and the Prospector ATV Club to salvage a bridge and relocate it for use on an ATV trail, the board said during the public works committee report (board letter 25-18).
Administrator Greg described the measure as “a unique opportunity” that “will facilitate, salvaging a bridge from a that would otherwise, be destroyed and make it usable as part of our ATV, TBE trail network.” Commissioners supported the move during the public works report, voted by voice and the motion carried.
The agreement covers relocation of a bridge referred to in the board letter as part of the August Creek Ridge salvage or relocation for an ATV recreational bridge. County members said the Prospector ATV Club is assisting and the U.S. Forest Service is a partner in the cooperative arrangement. No dollar amount for the salvage or relocation was specified during the discussion.
Outcome: The board approved the cooperative agreement (board letter 25-18).
