Staff summarized each project and recommended approval of the corresponding resolution. The projects and SL4B requests were:
- Community Association of the Highlands — William Straits Community Park rehabilitation (play structures, shade swing, spring riders, merry-go-round, little free library). Total project cost ~ $148,000; SL4B request $74,219.25 (Resolution SL4BR2420).
- Sugar Creek Homes Association — median walkways on Country Club Boulevard (4-foot crushed granite path, irrigation, landscaping). Total project cost ~ $73,000; SL4B request $36,939.85 (Resolution SL4BR2421).
- Settlers Park HOA — bridal wall (Section 2 along Settlers Way Boulevard between Greenfield Drive and Austin Parkway). Staff reported the wall sits in a CenterPoint easement and does not require homeowner encroach consents; total project cost ~ $173,000; SL4B request $70,004.58 (Resolution SL4BR2422).
- New Territory Residential Community Association — Grama Parkway monument renovation (demolition, basin adjustment, retaining wall, veneer, tower feature, signage, lighting, water feature). Total project cost approximately $442,750; SL4B request $75,000 (Resolution SL4BR2423).
- Imperial Homeowners Association — Imperial Roundabout fountain renovation at Imperial Boulevard and Stadium Drive. Total project cost $215,734; SL4B request $75,000; staff noted the Imperial Road District (IRD) committed additional funding to the project (Resolution SL4BR2424).
Public hearings were opened for each resolution; no members of the public spoke. The board moved and seconded each resolution in sequence and voted in favor; staff recorded the motions as approved.
Staff noted the combined total project cost of the five projects is roughly $1.1 million and that the SL4B grants reimburse only eligible expenses under the program. Staff also said these projects were previously reviewed during workshops and refined before being presented for approval.
