District staff introduced auditor Garima from the auditing firm (Harshwal/Harshwall per the meeting), who told trustees the financial statements received an unmodified opinion and that the single-audit and state compliance testing produced no reportable findings. Garima summarized the audit work, including 21 compliance tests, and said, “Financial statement has unmodified opinion, which is a clean opinion. Clean opinion means this you can trust the financial statements.”
The board voted to accept the audit after a motion by Board Member Grier and a second from Board Member Rodriguez Pena; the motion passed 4–1 with one absence.
