Beach Park board approves consent agenda, $1.13M pay application, truck purchase and right‑of‑way vacation

The payment covers storm sewer improvements, roadway milling, base patching, binder and surface course placement, driveway removal and shoulder work. The village engineer confirmed the quantities and the public works committee recommended approval.
• Purchase of a 2025 Kenworth truck with plow and spreader from Bonnell Industries for $268,059.50, to be paid from the vehicle replacement fund. The truck purchase was budgeted in the prior fiscal year and was recommended by the public works committee.
• Ordinance vacating an unimproved portion of Noble Avenue between properties at 12109 and 12049 West 33rd Street. The area to be vacated totals approximately 35,340 square feet, with a market value listed in the packet at $0.51 per square foot (total $18,143.50); each adjoining property owner must pay their portion before the ordinance becomes effective and the plat is recorded.
Trustee Miller praised village staff for demolition work at Beach Road and Green Bay Road, saying he “almost can't find it now when I drive by there” and thanking staff for the cleanup. Board members also noted that a judge awarded the village attorney's fees in a related case and that the village may be able to place a lien on the property, as discussed during the public-works report.
All items described above were approved by roll-call votes during the meeting; trustees recorded aye votes on the pay application, the truck purchase and the right-of-way vacation. The board also received routine committee reports (finance, parks and recreation, public safety, tax increment finance) and heard no requests for executive session.
