Board announces executive session to discuss HIB appeal, personnel leave and board ethics (attorney'client)
Summary
The Winslow Township Board moved into executive session at the Jan. 15 meeting to discuss a harassment/intimidation/bullying appeal, a personnel leave-of-absence, and an attorney-client privileged board-ethics matter.
Prior to adjourning to executive session the Winslow Township Board enumerated the topics it would discuss in private under the statutory exceptions to New Jersey's Open Public Meetings Act. On the public record the board cited the statutory citations and described the topics as:
- An HIB (harassment, intimidation and bullying) appeal that the board said falls under N.J.S.A. 18A:37-15 and related confidentiality provisions; and - A personnel matter involving a leave of absence to be discussed with the full board; and - A board-ethics matter to be discussed as an attorney-client privileged matter.
The board then moved to executive session by motion and roll call, estimated the executive session would last about 60 minutes, and said there would be no public action following the executive session. The board took the step with statutory citations on the record (N.J.S.A. 10:4-6 and N.J.S.A. 10:4-12(b) exceptions were referenced).
