City finance director Karen Scott presented the city's November 2024 financial statements and recommended the board acknowledge receipt of the documents.
City clerk Harmony Morrissey presented resolution R-2511, a request to ratify the reappointment of Anthony Valinati to Position 4 on the Hot Springs Advertising and Promotion Commission. Morrissey said Valinati resides in Hot Springs and owns DeLuca's Pizza; the A&P Commission considered his timely application on Dec. 2, 2024, and voted to reappoint him.
Morrissey also explained that Resolution R-2512 will fill a director position on the seven-member commission. State law requires two members of the governing body to serve on the A&P commission; the director position held by Director Holliday expired Dec. 31, 2024. Three directors applied and the remaining board members will interview applicants at a special meeting; the selected name will be substituted into R-2512 and brought back for appointment on Jan. 21.
These items appeared on the consent agenda for formal action at the Jan. 21 meeting; no votes were recorded on Jan. 14.
