Sebastian City Council approved a $142,868.87 purchase order with Motorola Solutions to provide public safety communications equipment and additional cameras at City Hall.

City staff said the work covers Police Department needs and adds six additional cameras for City Hall. "This year we budgeted additional dollars to continue to enhance our campus here at City Hall. This involves cameras and other items," a staff member said.

Council approved the expenditure after a motion and second; city staff noted the contract amount is below the $155,000 originally budgeted for the project.

No members of the public spoke on the item during the meeting. The roll call on the motion recorded yes votes from Council member Dodd, Council member Nunn, Mayor McPartland and Vice Mayor Jones; the motion carried.

City staff will proceed with executing the purchase order and contract documents as authorized by the council.
