The Alton Selectboard reviewed and voted on a set of warrant articles Jan. 14 that will be considered at the town’s deliberative session. After reviewing updated rationales and assignment of who will move and speak for each article, the board approved Articles 8 through 28 as presented.
The board discussed logistics for the deliberative session, noted that updated capital-reserve balances will be provided closer to deliberative because year-end accounting continues through March, and agreed that members could re-vote the slate at a later meeting if desired so the public record reflects a 5–0 vote rather than a previous 4–0 tally.
Nut graf: Because most warrant articles were procedural and had been vetted previously, the Selectboard handled them in a single series of motions rather than lengthy debate. Members also assigned who will move and speak to each article at deliberative.

No additional action on the warrant articles was taken at the Jan. 14 meeting beyond approving the slate for presentation.
