"This actually is a bill that is a holdover from last session. We had a little bit of a miscommunication," Chairman Beach said. He told the committee the Georgia Department of Transportation had helped to advance several of the road namings and that the committee wanted to codify the namings formally as quickly as possible. The chair said the resolution would be on the Senate floor on Monday if it passed out of committee and would then be transmitted to the House.
A motion to give Senate Resolution 7 a do-pass recommendation was seconded (Senator Mallow is recorded as the seconder in the transcript).
