The City of Las Vegas Redevelopment Agency voted Jan. 15 to accept the agency’s annual financial report and the independent audit for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2024.
Gail Lloyd Lyakos, the agency’s finance director, told members that the audit was performed “Per NRS 354 624” by an independent firm and resulted in an unmodified opinion. "The financial reports are free from material misstatements and are a true and fair representation of the redevelopment agency's financial position and performance," she said.
Lloyd Lyakos said the audit found no instances of noncompliance and no significant deficiencies or material weaknesses. She thanked the finance team and the agency’s external auditor, Crowe LLP, for their assistance during the process.
After the presentation, a member moved to approve acceptance of the audit; the chair called the vote and the motion "carried". The motion carried without a roll-call tally provided in the transcript.
The acceptance fulfills the agency’s statutory requirement for an annual independent audit and completes the public record for FY 2024.
The redevelopment agency then proceeded to other agenda items.
