The Las Vegas City Council on Jan. 15 approved the first phase of the Marble Manor redevelopment, a multi-phase project led by the Southern Nevada Regional Housing Authority (SNHRA) funded in part by a $50 million federal Choice Neighborhoods grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
SNHRA Executive Director Lewis Jordan and Chief Housing Officer Kathy Thomas told the council the project will replace 235 distressed public housing units with 627 mixed-income rental units, plus childcare, retail space and community amenities.
