"Future focused learning means giving students a head start on postsecondary success and providing them with learning environments that are safe and secure," one presenter said during the meeting. Presenters also highlighted new state requirements around career and college readiness activities and said districts should plan units and supports for those requirements.
Board members asked whether the professional organizations behind Vision 2030 would engage in state‑level advocacy; presenters confirmed the coalition and their trade organizations conduct advocacy and legislative engagement. The board then approved the Vision 2030 resolution by roll call.
