Board accepts four donations totaling about $73,000 for classrooms, elementary grants and athletics

The Snoqualmie Valley School District Board of Directors on Jan. 9 accepted four donations totaling roughly $73,216 that district staff said will support classroom grants and extracurricular activities.
The donations approved on the consent agenda were:
- $9,011.31 to North Bend Elementary for school grants, from North Bend Elementary PTA. - $45,000 to district general grants from the Snoqualmie Valley Schools Foundation. - $15,000 to district general grants from the Snoqualmie Valley Schools Foundation. - $4,205.14 to Mount Si High School boys swim for uniforms, from the Mount Si High School swim and dive boosters.
President Melissa Johnson announced the items under gifts and recognized the role of the Snoqualmie Valley Schools Foundation in supporting classroom spending. The consent agenda motion passed unanimously.
