The Department of State’s Attorneys and Sheriffs told the House Appropriations Committee on Jan. 15 that it has received an unexpected invoice from the Agency of Digital Services (ADS) and warned of substantial additional storage charges related to body-camera and evidentiary media.
Annie Noonan, labor relations and operations director for the department, told the committee that ADS billed the department $225,000 on Dec. 16 for SharePoint/storage use and that a continuing monthly charge in the range of roughly $15,000 to $18,000 per month is likely. “On December 16th, I got a bill for $225,000 for our ADS fee, which I didn’t anticipate, and it’s not in our budget for FY25,” Noonan said.
