House introduces a slate of bills, refers prefiled legislation to committees

During the Jan. 13 organizational session the clerk read introductions for several bills and concurrent resolutions. The measures introduced or noted on the record included House Bill 2001 through House Bill 2008 and House Concurrent Resolution 5001.
The bills read into the record covered a range of subjects as described by the clerk: HB 2001 (Taxpayer notification cost fund), HB 2002 (matters referred by the legislative post audit committee concerning health and health care), HB 2003 (taxation), HB 2004 (sales and compensating use tax), HB 2005 (income taxation), HB 2006 (retirement and pensions), HB 2007 (appropriations for fiscal years ending June 30, 2025–2027 for state agencies), and HB 2008 (retirement and pensions). House Concurrent Resolution 5001 was described as an application to Congress for a limited national convention to propose a constitutional amendment establishing term limits for members of Congress.
