Board approves annual financial-services agreement with Piper Sandler at $250/hour

The Clayton County Board of Commissioners voted Jan. 7 to award Professional Services Agreement (PSA) number 24-225 for financial services to Piper Sandler and Company.
Carol Rogers, central services director, presented the recommendation and said Piper Sandler would provide financial services on an as-needed basis at $250 per hour. Rogers said funding is available in the finance department’s general fund and asked the board to authorize the chairwoman or her designee to execute required documents and permit the interim chief financial officer to amend the budget as needed.
The board moved to approve the recommendation, the motion was seconded, and the board approved the award by voice vote.
What it means: The county will have Piper Sandler available for financial advisory work at the specified hourly rate; the contract is an as-needed engagement and the county said the finance department has budget authority to pay for services.
