Kansas House Committee on Agriculture and Natural Resources holds organizational meeting, previews water, animal health and economic briefings

Chair Ken Rogers called the Committee on Agriculture and Natural Resources to order for a short organizational meeting focused on introductions, logistics and a preview of items coming to the panel this session.

The committee chair, Ken Rogers, said the panel would not yet have formal committee rules in place and asked members and presenters to provide “three printed copies of any testimony.” He said the panel will “do most of our heavy lifting on probably Wednesday,” and added that the committee normally will avoid Friday afternoon meetings and that members should bring the new state-issued laptops because testimony will be delivered electronically…
