The Tomball City Council recessed into executive session at 5:16 p.m. Jan. 13 to consult with the city attorney and to deliberate real-property matters, citing the Texas Open Meetings Act.
The mayor announced the council would meet in executive session "as authorized by title 5, chapter 551, government code, Texas Open Meetings Act for the following purposes, consultation with city attorney regarding a matter which the attorney's duty requires to be discussed in a closed session and deliberations regarding real property." The council said it would return to consider item 1.1, described on the agenda as presentation, discussion and possible action to ratify contracts to purchase properties.
