The meeting then moved to officer elections. Miss Smith nominated Sarah Polier for chair; the nomination was accepted. A motion to elect Polier as chair was moved by Miss Smith and seconded by Jason Rourke. The clerk conducted a roll call; Smith, Rourke and Polier voted yes and the motion passed, after which Polier took the chair for the remainder of the meeting. Polier then opened nominations for vice chair; Jason Rourke was nominated and accepted. A roll call vote recorded unanimous support among members present and the motion passed.
On new business the board discussed scheduling for sidewalk maintenance appeals. Staff advised the filing deadline for the sidewalk maintenance program appeals was Feb. 17 and that one appeal had been received. The board agreed to schedule a hearing on Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. with Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. as a backup, pending required public notice and availability of engineering staff to attend.
Board members offered brief closing remarks after the organizational business and the meeting adjourned.
