The La Verne Library Board elected Glenn as board chair and Leslie as vice chair and approved minutes from its Nov. 4, 2024 regular meeting during its Jan. 13 session.
The board opened nominations for chair at the start of the meeting. One board member nominated Glenn to return as chair; another member seconded the nomination. The board approved the nomination by voice vote. Glenn then presided over the meeting.
The board then nominated Leslie for vice chair; that nomination was seconded and approved by voice vote.
Board members moved to approve the Nov. 4, 2024 minutes. A motion and second were recorded and the minutes were approved by voice vote.
Glenn reviewed the board’s 2025 meeting schedule: March 10, May 12, July 14, Sept. 8 and Nov. 10. New board member Alden Huynhos introduced himself and said he looks forward to participating in events and meetings. Board members praised library staff for their handling of the December break‑in and for ongoing programming.
All three actions recorded in the meeting—election of chair, election of vice chair, and approval of the Nov. 4 minutes—were completed by voice votes with ayes recorded and no opposition announced on the record.
