York County honors District Attorney Dave Sunday as he prepares to become Pennsylvania attorney general

Kyle King, chief administrator in the District Attorney’s Office, thanked Sunday for leadership on violent-crime prosecution, opioid‑related response and efforts to work with mental‑health professionals and the courts to direct people into care when appropriate.
At the close of the program, Sunday addressed the room and reflected on his career and collaborations across county government and law enforcement. He described his tenure as collective work: “...the reality is I would have never, in a 1000000 years, imagined that I would have had a successful career as a prosecutor here,” he said, later adding, “let's treat each other well. Life is hard... You guys are amazing. I love you all. And, god bless.”
The board adopted the proclamation honoring Sunday by voice vote. Commissioners and guests also recognized several colleagues from the District Attorney’s Office who will join the attorney general’s office.
