The Silver Creek School Corporation Board of Trustees on Jan. 14 elected its officers for the coming year, approved several staff and administrative appointments and bond amounts, voted to place a referendum question about a building project on the ballot and adopted two snow make‑up days for the 2024–25 school year.
At the organizational portion of the meeting the board re-elected or confirmed its officers: Chris Rountree to continue as president, Christie Franklin as vice president and Scott Groen as secretary. The board also approved state‑standard board compensation of $2,000 per year with per‑meeting stipends, reappointed John Mays (McKinney & Evans) as board attorney, and approved Allison Vanover as corporation treasurer and Becky Arnold as deputy treasurer. Susan Westfall was approved as executive secretary. Those votes were carried by voice vote and recorded as unanimous (5–0).
