Also approved was continued use of Data Wrangler, a subscription tied to newly installed electrical meters. Administrators told the board the district received a $10,000 grant from Wisconsin Public Power for participating in Data Wrangler and is pursuing additional incentives from Focus on Energy for verified bill savings. The board was shown early examples of detected savings: a piece of HVAC equipment running continuously that the software flagged and a change to air-conditioning schedules that lowered demand charges.
The facility committee recommended a short list of capital maintenance repairs, described as safety or urgent repairs identified by building maintenance staff and principals; the board approved that list. On open enrollment, administrators recommended capacity numbers based on the district’s “optimal class size” policy and conservative enrollment projections; the board approved the recommendation. Summer-school additions approved included two intermediate enrichment classes and a condensed personal-finance course to meet a recent state requirement for incoming freshmen.
