The Liberty Lake Library Board of Trustees on Jan. 7 moved and approved a slate of internal officers and liaisons for 2025, including a board chair, a board secretary and a council liaison.
The appointments came by motion and voice vote during the board’s organizational business at the start of its first meeting of 2025. The motions were moved from the floor, seconded and approved with affirmative voice votes by the trustees present.
The board appointed Brad (board member) to serve again as board chair. Anna Volocean (board member) was approved as board secretary. Anna Volocean also nominated Michael (board member) to serve as the board’s city council liaison; the nomination was seconded and approved.
Board members made the nominations and seconds during the meeting’s action items; the votes were taken by voice and recorded as unanimous among those present. No roll-call vote with individual yes/no tallies was recorded in the meeting transcript.
The newly chosen chairs and liaisons will handle regular reporting and coordination duties, including quarterly reports to the City Council and communications about council agenda items and city facility planning, both of which were discussed elsewhere in the meeting.
The board adjourned after completing the organizational actions and routine business and set its next regular meeting for Wednesday, Feb. 12 at 1 p.m.
Details of the motions and outcome are included below.
