The Sanford City Council approved a resolution authorizing updated signatories for city accounts after the retirement of the previous financial services director.
City staff told the council that Glenda Rosser retired effective Jan. 1 and that Bethany Stevens has been promoted as her replacement and started on Jan. 2. The resolution removes Rosser as a signatory and names Stevens as a city signatory alongside existing signatories.
Council member Ruth moved approval of the resolution; the mayor pro tem seconded and the motion carried by voice vote. Staff indicated Stevens will attend a council work session on Tuesday to meet members of the council.
