Speedway council approves routine minutes, publications resolution, ordinances, professional-service renewals and manager bonus

The Speedway Town Council on Jan. 13 handled a slate of routine but consequential administrative and legislative items, voting unanimously on minutes and memos, designating qualified publications, approving professional services agreements for stormwater and pretreatment work, adopting two town-code ordinances and approving the town manager’s bonus and claims.

Minutes and memoranda Council approved the minutes from the Dec. 23, 2024 meeting and ratified memoranda for the Dec. 23 administrative session and the Jan. 7 executive session. Each vote passed 5-0.

Elections of officers Councilors elected Nick Sturgeon president and Jason DeLisle vice president for 2025 by recorded aye votes.

Resolution declaring qualified publications Council approved Resolution No. 2025-01, naming the Indianapolis Star and the Indianapolis Business Journal as the town’s qualified publications for required legal notices. Grant Kleinhunds noted the town also posts notices on its website.
