Jolene (staff) asked the Casper City Council for authorization to apply to the Wyoming Governor's Big Game License Coalition for a riparian planting grant to revegetate the banks from Rod Park to the water treatment plant.
She said the coalition grant typically provides up to $15,000 and that the estimated cost to complete the desired revegetation work is about $40,000. Staff told the council there is no required cash match for the coalition grant, but the $15,000 would not fully fund the planned scope and that the city would seek additional private funding from the river fund and other sources.
Councilmembers had no objection and staff said they would proceed with the grant application.
