Health Department receives Health First funds; commissioners warned state bill could affect funding tied to septic standards

Johnson County Health Department Director Betsy Speragin told commissioners at the Jan. 13 meeting that the county received Health First Indiana funds on Jan. 2 and was ready to move funds to partner organizations.
"We got the money on January 2nd and, we're less than 2 weeks out and we can, push out some to our partners," Speragin said. She noted the department had three key performance indicators in place and was prepared to begin distributing funds quickly.
