Union County Board of Education accepts GOP nomination, swears in Barry Tucker to District 3 seat

The Union County Board of Education accepted a nomination from the Union County Republican Party and swore in Barry Tucker to fill the District 3 seat.

The board chair announced the party nomination and called for a motion to accept it; the board approved the motion and conducted a swearing-in ceremony led by Wendy Maynard. Barry Tucker recited the oath of office, saying, "I do solemnly swear that I will support the Constitution of the United States of America," and later swore to "well and truly execute the duties of the office of member of the Union County Board of Education" to the best of his ability.
