Clayton County arraignment calendar: guilty and no-contest pleas, fines and short sentences issued

Clayton County State Court handled a packed arraignment calendar Jan. 14, 2025 (Courtroom 304 via Zoom). Several defendants entered pleas resolved on the record; the court imposed fines, short custodial credits and probation conditions depending on each case.

- Anthony E. Boston Jr. (2024CR07394) pleaded guilty to an expired tag (count 3). The court accepted a plea to that count only; the fine was set at $100 (total $151.50 with surcharges) due within 30 days. Remaining counts were nolle prossed.

- Marville (Marvell) Molina (2024CR??) entered a no-contest plea to a stop-or-yield-sign violation (count 2); the state nolle prossed a no-license count. The court accepted the plea and imposed a $100 fine (total $151.50 with surcharges) and allowed 60 days to pay; the defendant was released with conditions noted in sentencing paperwork.

- Taneek (Tanisha) Blake (2023CR11067) pleaded guilty to leaving the scene of an accident (count 1) and no-contest to improper lane change (count 2). The court recognized the defendant had completed the defensive driving course; the sentence on count 1 included a $500 fine (roughly $737.50 with surcharges) and the case will be probated and may terminate once fines and conditions are satisfied.

- Mike (Mike/Mike) Thomas (2021CR08056) entered negotiated pleas: no contest to an HOV lane violation (count 2) and guilty to a speeding offense (count 3). The court imposed 12 months probation, fines (count 2: $200, count 3: $500) and a required driver improvement course; probation could terminate after completion of conditions.

- Scott Villalobos (2024CR10602), arrested for criminal trespass at Hartsfield'Jackson Atlanta International Airport, pleaded nolo contendere. The court imposed 12 months with 30 days to serve credited as time served and suspended the balance on condition he not return to restricted airport areas except to travel with a ticket and under escort.

- Multiple defendants had probation revocations or pleadings on violation petitions. Examples: Quentin Bonds had his probation revoked and the court revoked the balance of his sentence (court closed the case); Nicholas Dewberry had 60 days revoked and concurrently sentenced on a related guilty plea; Frank Massey and others received short custodial credit-based sentences and suspended balances on condition they avoid the incident locations.

Courtroom procedure notes: defendants represented by public defenders and private counsel were placed into breakout rooms for attorney-client conferences when necessary; interpreters were used when required; the court repeatedly reminded defendants to provide current contact information to the clerk and to submit email addresses for sentencing paperwork.
