PUEBLO, Colo. — The Pueblo County Board of County Commissioners on Tuesday approved a resolution that establishes the county’s administrative structure and meeting schedule for 2025–2026, naming Commissioner Spirengen as chair and Commissioner Miles Lucero as chair pro tem.
County Attorney Cynthia Mitchell told commissioners the resolution “lays out the structure of county government for the next two years,” and sets commissioner assignments to community boards and commissions. The board voted to approve the measure by voice vote.
The resolution lists which commissioners will sit on various community boards and commissions and formalizes a meeting cadence the county will follow. Commissioners will hold statutory regular business meetings on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 9 a.m., with the option to meet in the afternoons on those days for work-session presentations. The resolution also confirms the monthly schedule for land use meetings.
Mitchell said assignments and the schedule can be amended later if the board chooses. The motion to approve the resolution passed on a voice vote during the Jan. 14 meeting.
The resolution’s adoption is procedural: it assigns responsibilities, confirms meeting times, and updates the board’s official appointment list for the two-year period. No amendments to the structure or schedule were recorded during the public meeting.
