The Marysville City Council on Jan. 13 approved a series of routine items, adopted an appropriation ordinance for $128,026 and appointed a city prosecutor during a meeting that also sent several personnel matters to executive session.
The council voted to approve the minutes from the regular Dec. 23, 2024 meeting, accepted a Microcom warranty agreement with a $175 increase from the prior year, approved changes to the police chief job description to broaden minimum education requirements, and approved an engineering services agreement for U.S. Highway 77. The council also approved the consent agenda and adopted Appropriations Ordinance No. 3839, carrying $128,026 in appropriations.
Appropriations Ordinance No. 3839 was adopted by roll call. Councilmembers recorded as voting yes were Snellings, Perez, Behrens, Keating, Heitman, Strong, Schrader, Geracki and Kato; no nay votes were recorded.
The council also approved the appointment of Aaron Westbrook as city prosecutor, effective Jan. 2025 through Dec. 2025.
