Council adopts updated legal boundary description for Valley Center

The City of Valley Center council unanimously adopted Resolution 773-25 to update the municipal legal description of the citys corporate limits.
City staff said the annual submission to the county includes recently annexed areas, unannexed pockets and right-of-way annexations, and removes property owners who requested to be taken out of the city limits. City Engineer Kate Shear (presented in staff remarks) said the revised text compiles a long, detailed legal description prepared by professionals for county submission.
Councilors discussed the usual administrative nature of the annual update. A motion to adopt Resolution 773-25 passed on the voice vote recorded in the meeting record.
Staff noted the resolution will be submitted to Sedgwick County as the official legal description of the City of Valley Centers corporate limits for 2025.
