Dale Schumacher, a volunteer with Chaffee County Habitat for Humanity, told the board the fee package for the next build totaled $1,367 for the building permit plus a $320 land-use application fee, and the group was asking that the county waive roughly $1,700 to support a planned March start. “We are actively building to come and ask for your support and waiving the build fees,” Schumacher said.
Commissioners discussed the request briefly and approved the motion to waive the fees. The county clerk provided the building permit following the board’s approval.
No additional conditions or funding were attached to the waiver in the meeting record.
