The Dickinson City Commission on Tuesday approved a slate of routine and substantive items, including an annual actuarial services contract, two municipal-code ordinances, several land‑use items and a revised financing plan for 2025 street maintenance.
The commission unanimously approved an annual actuarial services agreement with Gallagher for work related to employee retirement and OPEB valuations for calendar year 2025. Community-development staff and the retirement plan use the annual actuarial valuation for GASB reporting and pension statements; the agreement includes attendance at one client meeting and the standard individual calculations fee of $350 for member cost estimates.
The commission also adopted two ordinances after public hearings and second readings: an update to chapter 29 (the city’s harassment and EEO policy) as ordinance 1812, and adoption of the Municode package as ordinance 1814. Both passed on recorded votes with no roll-call opposition.
Land-use and planning actions included approval of a future land‑use amendment and associated rezone for the North Energy Center residential subdivision (ordinance 1815 and companion rezone), and the related minor subdivision for the Madoona (Maduna) first subdivision (resolution 01‑2025).
