Council moved and approved reappointments and new appointments across a wide range of local advisory bodies, including the Farmington Area Beautification Commission; Board of Review; Brownfield Redevelopment Authority; Commission on Aging; Commission on Children, Youth and Family; Commission on Community Health; Emergency Preparedness Commission; Farmington Area Arts Commission; Farmington Community Library Board of Trustees; Historic Commission; Grand River Corridor Improvement Authority; Historic District Commission; Housing Rehabilitation Loan Board; International Property Maintenance Board; Parks and Recreation Commission; Planning Commission; Water Advisory Council; and Zoning Board of Appeals. Terms generally begin immediately and many expire on February 1, 2028 (three‑year terms) or February 1, 2029 (four‑year terms for certain authorities such as the library board and corridor authority). Several individuals were present in the chamber and recognized, including Satya Injedi, appointed as an alternate to the Zoning Board of Appeals.
Councilmember read a long, itemized motion listing each name, the board or commission and the term dates. After a roll call vote the council approved the full slate. The council thanked new appointees for volunteering to serve the community.
