The Troy City Council on Jan. 13 approved a budget amendment to accelerate Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) funds so construction for several sidewalk gaps and a pedestrian crossing can begin in 2025.
City Engineer Scott Findley told the council the city received a TAP award in June 2024 and is asking the council to “advance the budget from 2026 to 2025 for the Transportation Alternative Program” so the federal funds can be obligated for construction this year.
