At its Jan. 14 meeting the Timnath Town Council recorded the following formal actions and future hearing dates:
- Consent agenda (five items): Approved (3-0). Items included approval of Nov. 12, 2024 special meeting minutes; Dec. 10, 2024 meeting minutes; Resolution No. 1, Series 2025 (annual appointments); Resolution No. 2, Series 2025 (purchase of Kubota utility vehicle from Wickman Tractor Company); Resolution No. 3, Series 2025 (purchase of 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee from Polo Dodge Chrysler Jeep).
- Ordinance No. 1, Series 2025 (Ladera PD overlay amendment No. 2): Approved (3-0). See separate article for full coverage.
- Resolution No. 4, Series 2025 (IGA with Fisher Farm Metropolitan District No. 1 regarding limited eminent-domain authority): Motion to approve failed for lack of second; council voted to continue the matter to March 11, 2025, for further negotiation and analysis.
- Ordinance No. 2, Series 2025 (liquor-tasting fee and fee updates): Approved on first reading; public hearing set for Jan. 28, 2025 at 6 p.m.
- Ordinance No. 3, Series 2025 (temporary moratorium on natural medicine facilities under newly adopted state rules): Approved on first reading; public hearing set for Jan. 28, 2025 at 6 p.m. (six-month moratorium proposed to allow staff and council to study land-use and regulatory options).
- Ordinance No. 4, Series 2025 (annexation of approximately 50 acres known as Poudre School District parcel): First reading approved; public hearing set for Jan. 28, 2025 at 6 p.m.
- Ordinance No. 5, Series 2025 (zoning map amendment for Poudre School District parcel): First reading approved; public hearing set for Jan. 28, 2025 at 6 p.m.
Council members who voted in favor of items recorded as approved were Mayor Robert Oxmacher, Mayor Pro Tem Luke Wagner and Council member Bill Jenkins. Two council members were absent and excused for the meeting. Several agenda items were set for public hearing on Jan. 28, 2025 to allow public comment and additional staff presentation.
