Holmen School District to renew boys' and girls' hockey co-ops; Aquinas to lead boys' co-op
Summary
Activities director Jason Lulof presented boys' and girls' hockey cooperative renewals, saying the boys' co-op will continue with Aquinas as lead and the girls' co-op adds Luther, which requires updated paperwork; the boys' roster is about 27 Pullman players and the girls about 9–10.

Jason Lulof, the district activities director, presented renewals for the boys' and girls' hockey cooperative agreements and said both items will appear on the Jan. 27 consent agenda.
Lulof said the boys' co-op arrangement — which includes Aquinas, Cochrane, Fountain City, GET, Holmen and Luther — remains unchanged, with Aquinas serving as the lead co-op organization and costs split per participant with the lead. He estimated the district contributes about 27 players to the boys' roster.
For the girls' co-op, Lulof said Luther has one interested player and the co-op paperwork must be updated because Luther is not currently on the WIAA paperwork. The girls' co-op membership includes West Salem, Aquinas, Bangor, GET, Holmen, La Crosse Central, La Crosse Logan and now Luther; Lulof estimated about nine to ten Pullman players on the girls' team and said the district is a heavy contributor to both programs. He noted ice availability is a regional barrier and that the girls' co-op relies on many partner schools to field a team.
There were no questions from the board at the Jan. 13 meeting; Lulof said the renewals will be processed on the Jan. 27 consent agenda.
