Orange County School Board legal counsel informed members on Jan. 14 that the district has joined a multidistrict litigation concerning insulin.
During his brief report, the district attorney (Mr. Palmerini) said the district’s filing has been completed and will proceed through the federal court process as part of a larger consolidated action. “The following, doctor Armbruster is like following Kat Gordon back in the day. That's never an enviable task, but I guess I'll try it. Yeah. Just wanna let the board know that we have, the insulin litigation that you authorized us to join, that has been filed on our behalf. So we have it's now been filed, and it'll go through the court process,” he said.
He cautioned that because the filing is part of a large multidistrict litigation, the district should not expect immediate updates. Counsel said the office will provide updates to the board as meaningful developments occur.
Ending
Counsel provided no additional schedule or projection; board members acknowledged the filing and moved on to the next agenda item.
