Council appoints Imran Mohammed to Business Advisory Board

Staff said Mohammed submitted an application and a resume showing experience and community involvement; he also serves on the West Melbourne Business Association and is a registered voter and city resident. Mohammed was present in the audience when the council considered his application.
Councilmembers asked whether Mohammed operates a business in the city; staff noted he is a notary but did not specify a local business address. Several councilmembers said they were familiar with names on his recommendations and had received positive input about his community participation.
Mister Frampus moved to appoint Mohammed and Councilmember Volts seconded the motion. The council approved the appointment unanimously.
