Farmersville Unified School District invited students to submit artwork for a districtwide contest on the theme “happy,” with entries due Jan. 17 at the district office.
Two 8th-grade students, Lyric and Stephanie, of Farmersville Junior High School announced the contest during a school announcement. “This month's theme will be happy. What does happy look like to you?” they said.
Students may use any media and should create artwork on an 8-by-11-inch sheet of paper. Entries must be turned in to the district office by Jan. 17. Students are asked to put their name, grade, teacher's name and school on the back of their artwork.
The announcement closed with a seasonal greeting from the students: “Enjoy the new year.”
