Farmersville High student-body president reports college applications, FFA honors and sports participation

Emmanuel Lopez, associated student-body president at Farmersville High School, told the board the school’s seniors are completing college applications and are awaiting admission decisions.
Lopez highlighted the school’s Future Farmers of America program, noting two students — Sarah Garcia and Genesis Juarez — were selected for a Sacramento leadership experience in late February; the presenter said they were among 75 students selected statewide. He also said winter sports had begun league play and that girls’ soccer participation increased enough to field varsity and junior-varsity teams.
Lopez closed by thanking the board and superintendent and encouraging community support for student activities.
