Police Chief Gee Morgan told the Board of Works on Jan. 13 that the Lebanon Police Department responded to 94 calls for service since the board’s last meeting and made 19 arrests.
Chief Morgan listed the arrests as: nine for operating while intoxicated, one for being wanted on a warrant, two for domestic battery, one for possession of methamphetamine, two for intimidation, one for public intoxication, one for unlawful possession of an alleged drug, one for theft and one for possession of a child-related offense (transcript redacted). The department also submitted two pistol/gun permits to the state for final approval and handled 30 crash reports during the reporting period.
Chief Morgan said the department hired two lateral officers, Jeff Dixon and Justin Rose, who started last Wednesday and are completing uniform and onboarding tasks. He said one patrol spot remains open and the department is considering another lateral hire to save training time and cost.
