Mobile City Council approves consent items, schedules hearings and orders demolitions

The Mobile City Council approved a bundle of purchase orders, resolutions and agreements and set several public hearings at a pre-meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 14.

Council members approved a series of purchase orders and contracts including a $167,371.20 purchase order to Delta Scientific Corp. for a "portable fillet, arrest system with trailer," a $74,515 contract with PODACO Rentals for Mardi Gras portable toilets, and a $17,556 renewal for investigative software (vendor name transcribed as Carryo/Collio or similar). The council also authorized a purchase order to Chris LaVorn Pile Drivers for removal of a derelict vessel from Dog River and purchase orders for vehicle and engine repairs listed in the clerk's readout.
