City to seek council approval of 2-year SQL managed services contract with Centralogic

Melissa Brady, the city’s enterprise data and GIS manager, told the Finance, Administration and Communication Committee on Jan. 14 that staff is proposing a two-year consulting services agreement with Centralogic for SQL Managed Services.
The contract would continue an eight‑year relationship with Centralogic for monitoring, off‑hour technical support during upgrades and incidents, and other database services. Brady said the two‑year contract totals $141,240 and was previously approved in the 2025–2026 budget. She said the current contract expired in October 2024.
Why it matters: City staff said the service supplements internal staff so employees can focus on new systems and the development of the city’s data and analytics program. Brady said Centralogic provides 24/7 monitoring and helps ensure systems remain reliable, secure and high‑performing.
Council discussion and next steps: Committee members asked whether the new agreement contains changes from the prior contract and whether staff had a periodic requirement to solicit bids. Brady said the proposed agreement is the city’s standard consulting agreement and that there are no changes to call out. She said the department generally follows finance and procurement requirements and will solicit bids when scope changes or when seeking new vendors, but that in this case staff did not conduct a new competitive solicitation. When asked to name the vendor, Brady said the company is Centralogic.
Brady said staff will place the contract on the consent agenda for the Jan. 21, 2025 council meeting for formal approval.
