Los Angeles County Board ratifies emergency declarations, directs $1 million seed for fire recovery fund and steps to protect residents

The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors voted 5-0 Tuesday to ratify a proclamation of local emergency, a curfew order and a declaration of a local health emergency for the January 2025 windstorm and fire events, and to direct county staff to begin immediate recovery work and consumer protections.
