Temple ISD board plans mission-and-vision review and campus rotation visits

The Temple ISD Board of Trustees discussed future board business on Jan. 13, announcing plans to review the district's vision, mission and belief statements in mid-2025 and to resume an expanded campus rotation schedule of classroom visits.
The board president said the district will invite Region 12 to facilitate a formal review of mission, vision and belief statements in July or August 2025 to ensure those directional statements align with the district's priorities. The board also described a campus rotation schedule intended to visit all campuses in roughly a year to a year-and-a-half and emphasized that the visits will be instructional in nature, with a cross-section of core and elective classrooms rather than only program celebrations.
The board noted several early rotation dates: Scott Elementary on Jan. 23 and a group of north-east quadrant campuses (Lamar, Jefferson, Hector P) on Feb. 20. Trustees said the visits aim to inform elected officials about classroom instruction and to deepen engagement with staff and students outside of event-driven appearances.
